James Welsh, who is a member of our Motive Direct crew was seriously injured Sunday morning (07/10/16) while riding his motorcycle, when he collided head-on with a deer in rural Sherrard, IL. He was airlifted by Medforce Helicopter to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He suffered serious head injuries and several broken bones, including a broken neck. According to Jimmy’s mother, both his Nero and Trauma doctors both said things are looking good for him and they’re really happy with is progress so far. They also were both able to get Jimmy to give them a thumbs up and wiggle his toes for them.

Jimmy will have a very long road ahead of him as he recovers from the accident and his sister created a GoFundMe page to help Jimmy pay for the medical bills that he is going to rack up during all of this.

So, if you’re a fan of Motive Direct Pictures or maybe a fellow producer of visual/musical arts, or just someone with a big heart; please consider donating to Jimmy’s GoFundMe page to help him in his recovery. https://www.gofundme.com/2drcahwr

For on-screen appearances, you can find him in the short-short, “Pizza Rolls”, in short films, “A Sinister Nature”, “OneTwoLeftShoe”, “Day Nineteen”, and in our feature film to be released later this year, “Esoteric Tales”. Jimmy has worked as a crew member behind the scenes on “Pizza Rolls” (co-edited), “A Sinister Nature” (grip), “The Great Self-Exile” (grip/along with letting us use his apt for a location), and “OneTwoLeftShoe” (script supervisor).
